Our most prized wine, the Three D Cabernet Sauvignon is a reflection of the very best of what we do at Salvestrin. Our most premium Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are matched with the finest French oak barrels, and aged for an extended period, allows the wine to concentrate and soften into a beautiful expression of the Dr. Crane Vineyard. The 2014 vintage highlights an ample tannin structure, and the core of currants, blackberry, plum and black olive shine through. Layered and complex, this Cabernet will continue to age exquisitely.

The 2021 Rosé is made from 100% Syrah grapes, which we farm in the heart of St. Helena. Salmon pink in hue, aromas of nectarine, bing cherries, orange peel and wildflower florals leap from the glass. The palate is tangy and bright with minerality, Meyer lemon and wet stone driving the finish.

Meaning ‘legacy’ in Italian, our Retaggio red blend pays homage to the Salvestrins’ Italian heritage. Our inaugural vintage of Retaggio was 2002, and this wine has evolved into a wine club favorite for its authenticity and unique profile. Our 2019 features flavors of fruit and spice including black cherry, blueberry, violets and a hint of black pepper. Velvety in texture, this wine is concentrated and focused, featuring a follow through finish that highlights a light dusting of cocoa powder.

Our flagship Cabernet opens with notes of black cherry, dried tobacco, pencil shavings, and thyme. Medium plus in weight, the core is velvety in texture and framed by powdery refined tannins. Dried sage and blood orange shine through on the finish, which has notable persistence. Driven by finesse with a hint of minerality, this expression of the Dr. Crane Vineyard site is unadulterated, unfined, and unfiltered.

The 2018 3D Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the premium Dr. Crane fruit we have the privilege of growing and making into wine. The barrels going into the blend are hand selected by our winemakers three different times. Velvety and sultry, this wine sings with bright notes of raspberry, dried rose petal, olive, and vanilla. The mouthfeel is seamless, elegant and bold. Refined chalky textured tannins give way to hints of cigar box and nutmeg on the finish.

Our inaugural vintage of Pinot Noir has been a long time in the making. Co-owner Shannon Salvestrin, as well as Associate Winemaker / Viticulturist Natalie Winkler, love this varietal. We decided to make a tiny amount, just enough for family and friends plus our beloved wine club.

Our 2019 Russian River Valley Pinot is vibrant and silky in texture, medium in weight, and features notes of cherry cola, raspberries, and a whisper of potpourri. Minerality and tension keep this wine tight and focused. The finish is lengthy with a touch of baking spices. The bottle will be empty before you know it.
